Is Foundry free for students and families?
Students can download Foundry free and start at no cost: the conversation, their Portrait and a first career path with real next steps. Foundry+, or an access code from their school, unlocks more paths, open-ended conversations with the mentor and the Foundry Index of technical schools and programs. Adding a parent, guardian, other family member or counselor is always free.
Does Foundry work on Android and on the web?

How is student data protected?
The student decides who sees what. No adult sees anything until the student adds them, and the student can turn off any part, any time. Foundry never sells student data or uses it for advertising. How does Foundry rank technical schools and programs?
The Foundry Index gives each program a score from 0 to 100, compared only with similar programs, using public federal data: graduates' earnings and debt, completion, affordability and credential quality. A program without published earnings is listed as Emerging, never given a made-up rank. How we rank →

No. Foundry widens options. It shows students careers they may never have been shown, alongside every other path, and a student who chooses a four-year degree is a success too.
